Mercer Equipment was established in 1974 by James Mercer as a seller and servicer of blasting equipment and blasting media. Operating from 2868 E. Cottonwood Road in Dothan, AL, the company experienced steady growth until 1999 when Troy Adams purchased the company. Since Troy took over the operation the company has experienced significant growth culminating with the construction of a new building and expansion into the industrial hardware and supply business in 2008. The staff has increased from one inside salesman to three inside and four outside salesmen and a retail storefront.
